The handle was made out of rubber and pressed on the plastic component that was itself attached to the various components by the in-mold process.
Another difficulty was that the handle had to be manufacture from a preexisting mold that was used for another handle so there were plenty of limitations in width, length depth and angles.
What was very interesting was the fact that no CAD was used for the development of this product. Technical drawing were done by hand as well as a prototype that was sent to the mold maker to be measured and reverse engineered. Presentation was prepared by hand, analogue means and foam models.
